Problem
Derneburger, a premium German schnaps brand, needed an e-commerce destination that could reflect the brand's artisanal roots and limited-edition packaging. The existing digital presence lacked the elegance, clarity, and focused storytelling required to match the calibre of its audience. The experience needed to be as refined as the product itself, with a frictionless flow from discovery to conversion.
Solution
We designed and developed a clean, editorial e-commerce website built for visual impact and conversion. The Shopify-based site uses large-scale imagery, minimal typography, and subtle interactions to guide users through Derneburger's brand narrative and product details. By eliminating distractions and prioritising storytelling, we created an interface that feels elevated and modern.
The single-product structure keeps the experience focused and streamlined. A seamless cart and checkout flow ensures users can quickly move from interest to purchase without friction. With a responsive layout and optimised mobile experience, the site is as fluid on handheld devices as it is on desktop.

A refined visual identity built on contrast, focus, and heritage. We used white space, serif typography, and artistic bottle renders to deliver a gallery-like feel. Subtle type contrasts and restrained colour usage (primarily broad blue accents) ensure the brand feels classic yet contemporary.

ITC American Typewriter was designed in 1974 by American designers Joel Kaden and Tony Stan. Helvetica Neue is a version of Helvetica that has more uniform widths and heights of the letterforms, improved readability, more punctuation signs and more space between numbers and numerals.
